Documentary Features
Showcase the history, engineering, and innovation behind products, technologies, and infrastructure projects through authentic storytelling.
Collaboration • Education • Infrastructure
Every valve has a purpose. Every innovation solves a problem. Every piece of infrastructure has a story waiting to be told.
Stories worth watching
Under Pressure USA creates documentary-style educational content that brings the hidden world beneath our feet to life.
We partner with organizations that believe education builds stronger industries — manufacturers, utilities, engineering firms, contractors, associations, and the people moving underground infrastructure forward.
Collaboration Opportunities
Showcase the history, engineering, and innovation behind products, technologies, and infrastructure projects through authentic storytelling.
Bring engineers, manufacturers, utility professionals, contractors, and innovators together through meaningful discussions on Under Pressure: After Hours.
Create content that helps the public, the industry, and the next generation better understand the infrastructure beneath every community.
Document trade shows, demonstrations, facility tours, conferences, and educational events from a unique behind-the-scenes perspective.
Why we do this
Every day, millions of people rely on systems they never see — water mains, valves, pipelines, treatment facilities, and the crews who keep them operating.
Under Pressure USA exists to bring those stories to the surface through documentary storytelling, real field experience, and conversations with the people who build and maintain critical infrastructure.
We're not here to advertise the industry. We're here to help people understand it.

Additional Collaboration Opportunities
Sometimes the most relatable stories happen away from the jobsite. Through short-form videos, John shares everyday moments — coffee, trucks, lawn care, pets, home projects, errands, and the routines people recognize from their own lives.
The recurring “Today I get to...” format gives everyday products a place in the story without turning the content into a traditional commercial.

About the founder
John Hamling created Under Pressure USA to show people the niche world of hot taps, line stops, and valve inserts.
As the audience grew, it became clear the story was much bigger than the work itself. Today, John creates Under Pressure Underground, Under Pressure: After Hours, and the everyday-life series It’s John Hamling.
Our mission is simple: educate, start conversations, and build relationships that strengthen the industry.
